Questions & Answers
What is Gowalla?
Gowalla is a location-based mobile social network that inspires and empowers you to share and discover places with your friends. We believe life is an adventure and we infuse our community with fun, gamelike elements that make going out with Gowalla a truly remarkable experience. Grab Gowalla and go out today!
How long does this event last?
Like the title says, 10 and half days. We're getting started midday on Tuesday, December 15. We're going to run it through the end of the day on Christmas (Texas time, because that's how we roll here). Of course, we have 600 gifts to give away. We're going to give away 50-60 gifts each day. Once they're all gone, well, they're gone.
But I don't have an iPhone. How do I get in on the gift givin'?
Currently, we only support finding gifts in Gowalla 1.3 for iPhone. While we're working on native client for Android and other devices, they're not ready for primetime yet. We know, this is a bummer. That's why we're also letting you tell us on Twitter why we should give you one. We'll give away one limited-edition Gowalla iPod nano to our favorite tweet each day until Christmas. Be sure and include the link http://gowal.la/gift so we can find your tweet!
Can I receive more than one gift?
This is the season for giving, so if we've already given you a gift it's best to not get greedy. Why don't you leave it there for someone else to find?
Do the iPods really have the Gowalla logo on them?
Oh heck yes they do.
Where did that sweet Ollie the Bluebird item come from?
Our awesome friends at the Iconfactory said we could borrow him.
