The Corcoran at Facebook New York
We're just passing by outside, but this seems like an appropriate check-in to end our wonderful Gowalla journey. As many of you know, Gowalla was acquired by Facebook recently and will be retired early next year. For all of you who shared our stories around New York City, we thank you so much for all the comments, shares and conversations. See you all soon!
Fred Kerner:
You guys did a great job humanizing new York. It's not a city I've ever had any real love for, but thanks to all you've shared, I've been there several times in the last year, and will again, even without my once beloved gowalla. Thank you.
David C:
Thanks for time you have spent sharing a remarkable city. I regret my next trip to New York will be sans Gowalla to share or use to discover the mysteries of the City. Thanks again.
Don Forman:
I really enjoyed your pictures around NYC. Are you doing Path or anything else to show off the cool spots?
Ron van Zuylen:
Corcoran uses everything... including foursquare, Google Plus, Foodspotting, etc. ;-) and will likely continue. (But as we all know, foursquare isn't really the same thing.) And Path isn't the right place at all; it's not about place discovery, and their "private" model really goes against this type of use. I will miss Gowalla, and Gowalla + Corcoran.
The Corcoran Group:
Hi everyone, thanks so much for all of the amazing words here, we're truly blown away by what we're hearing. Ron is right in that what we've been up to in Gowalla exists in various forms elsewhere around the web, but the closest one we're currently running can be found on Google+, over at: http://bit.ly/vm64jV, where we'd love to keep in touch. In many ways, what we're doing there was born here on Gowalla, and we think you'll enjoy it. Don - We're not doing anything with Path just yet given the platform's focus on smaller, more intimate networks, but we're experimenting with it and of course, love the interface. Perhaps there's a play for us there one day, but not yet. Stay in touch everyone!

Wow, these notes are incredible. Don't think I've ever read an entire chain complimenting a Brand's strategy like this note does to Corcoran. Congrats to team at Corcoran!

Don't let the exterior fool you, this place has some of the best Mexican in the area. Super eclectic soft drink selection is so much fun
The Corcoran at CUNY Graduate Center
Here for the BDI Mobile & Social event. I'm speaking at 9am about Corcoran's mobile marketing efforts using Foursquare, Gowalla and Foodspotting.
Nikki .:
Best wishes on your speech!
The Corcoran Group:
Thanks so much Nikki!
Don Forman:
Not sure how much marketing you will be getting on Gowalla in the near future.
The Corcoran Group:
Not sure what makes you say that Don? We have a good sense that the forthcoming changes here will be a great thing for our highlights presence in particular. What do you think?
The Corcoran at EWR Newark Liberty International
Wheels down to a rainy Newark, looks like the English weather came back with us. Great to be back home!
Andrés Feliciano:
Back to reality.
The Corcoran Group:
Unfortunately yes, but it's good to be home!
